Point 10) Don't only tell her. Actually taker her for a picnic.
Point 11) I agree with most points, but not with that one. And I'm telling you that as a woman. Never ask your wife anything like that. Take her, guide her, lead her. Even if you do things that are only 5 or 6 on her ranking, she will still appreciate it more than a 10 she asked for. Asking your wife questions should always be more about what creates a deeper bond between you and what demonstrates attention without coming off as needy. There is this neat little ebook I once found. If it is still up there you can find it for free on http://www.husbandsmagic.com

All,
Thanks for all the insight. It is really helpful with some fantastic ideas.

My role has grown from facilitator to more of a leadership role for my church's Men's Ministry. It's grown from averaging about ten 1.5 years ago, to now between 14 and 20. Believe it or not, one of the great promotions is the fact that we have a guy who loves to cook and often makes something delicious... Our format is simple:

8-8:20ish fellowship and eating
8:20 - 8:40 prayer, new business (discuss things like: habitat for humanity participation, etc..), and group discussion of meeting topic including scripture
8:40 - 9:15 break into groups of 3-4 to discuss questions
9:15 - 9:30 big group discussion, joys/concerns, any other suggestions, prayer

We'll consider more outreach (we have 4-8 who attend a church in a bad section of Cincinnati once a month to prepare and serve breakfast to about 300-350 homeless), and other events to encourage bonding/greater participation. I have great support from our Pastor... Thanks again for all the ideas..

Thanks for all the great comments and ideas for men's ministry. I am currently leading a men's ministry team that has about 8 guys on it. I highly encourage a team to lead. Not fair for one man to do everything. I want to recommend another great book to use. It's called The Pursuit of God, by A.W. Tozer. We are starting this class on Jan 8, 2012 with about 70 men signed up. Please read this book. Published in 1948 and very current for today. I will try and post back soon how the Pursuit of God class is going.
Blessings to all the men out there.

Hi

My girlfriend and I recently lost our puggat Cricket to a case of hiptoplasmosis and AIMA, reading your description of your puggat is a word for word description of my dog. Puggats are a breed all their own and for the 3 and a half years we had her every day was something different. We made the mistake of letting her in bed one time and from that time on we couldn't keep her out, we would fight over the bath tub anytime you turned on the water. I was the one who she listened to and my girlfriend needed to say "want a cookie" for her to get her attention. In her mind she was 10 times her size, one night we went for a walk and the neighbors pit bull (all bark not bite just a big lover) come running up to my little 10lb dog barking and since it was during the winter we had her what I considered sissy coat on and my dog took off after this pitbull who then stopped dead and turned and ran, chased it into the neighbors yard up on to his deck came off gave a little grunt and kicked up the dirt and some snow and pranced back to me like she was a little bada$$, the pitbull comes running off the deck again and again my dog takes off after it! they later became best friends... Thank you so much for your story the last 3 weeks have been very difficult and reading your story brings back such good memories.

I am pregnant with my second child. Only about 10 weeks along. The past 3 nights I have been up late crying because my husband doesn't seem to want to cuddle or touch me. I try to nicely suggest that maybe we could cuddle before we fall asleep. Everytime I bring up the subject it seems to aggrevate my husband. Last week I even went to the salon and cut off 13 inches of my hair hoping that maybe he just needed something new about me to spark some romance. Our almost 2 year has been sleeping in the bed with me for the past month, because my husband always falls aleep on the couch and is impossible to move. Althought the last 5 nights I have gotten my baby back into his own room, hoping that my husband and I could our intamacy back. It just doesn't seem to be working. Everytime I bring up that this is a problem to me, it just starts an argument. HELP! What can I do to make my husband want to cuddle and love me. He shows love many other ways, and says it plenty, helps around the house, a great father, but I NEED to be cuddled. It's like a sense of security, I guess. Any suggestions?
