I thank God for everybody that contributed to this blog. Reading through has actually opened my eyes to the challenges ahead and the fact that the problems I'm currently facing are not peculiar to our church. I was inadvertently made the leader of the Men's Fellowship because the defacto leader was really not keen about the whole idea. While I was trying to figure out how to move ahead, I was asked to lead a group of leaders from a number of churches making the challenge more daunting. However, with the grace of God and the comments I read on this blog I'm confident we'll make progress. I sincerely thank all the contributors for the various ideas. One thing runs thruogh most Men's Fellowship organizations, and that is the fact that in one breath you have everybody routing for Christ and in the next most of the members are disinterested. The challenge is how to sustain the enthusiasm for a long period to the glory of God. The answer is not the quick fix solutions but what will keep the fire burning. Thanks everybody keep sending those noble ideas and suggestions!!!

WOW, I was always casual about marriage and thinking "One can always get married if this doesn't work out" My friends would say "you're not in love yet"

After reading the things that make women happy I discovered I almost constantly say those things to my beautiful wife. We found each other in our senior years and she is in her 80's and me almost 80. I did learn to say the right things after a lot of years!

Hey men, Sounds like God is really working in men today. I was honored on fathers day by my church to head up our men's group, Men of Valor. I want our first meting to be something real and special. What do you guys think about this? We have a guy in our church who makes duck calls and turkey calls. I also know a guy who makes fishing lures, I am planning on getting someone to bring their four wheeler, my uncle makes hunting knives, we also have a guy over sports in our church, I rabbit hunt so I plan on bringing a dog box and such. Not every man hunts or plays ball. What else can I do to get the guys involved who are not the outdoors type? I want them to kwow that they fit in. Everyone is different and being a Man of Valor is not about what your hobby is but using who you are and what you do to glorify God and being what He has called you to be while living life doing what you love to do. All suggestions are welcomed.

Jason and anyone else that this applies to,

I have read both His Needs, Her Needs and The Love Dare and both are really good books to get your marriage back on track. However, these books won't mean anything to you if your heart isn't in it. Take a look at your life and pray like you have never prayed before. You cannot truly love your wife if you don't love God. Love isn't manufactured in us. It comes from God and the love Jesus showed us by giving up His life.
Recently, I almost lost my wife and daughter because of some bad decisions I was making. I also had a almost nonexistent relationship with God because of the sin in my life. Instead of focusing on repairing my marriage, I focused on my relationship with God. Through this, my wife was able to see that my heart was in the right place and she gave me a second chance. We now enjoy each other more that we ever had before and our marriage is so much stronger.
Remember, you entered a covenant with your wife, not a contract. God will give you the strength to honor this covenant, if you ask Him.

I have a question for all you Puggat owners. I'm not sure if it's a common thing or not, but my little Boots, who is around 6-8 months old, seems to have hernia. I know dogs like to eat grass from time to time, but every time I take her out she is eating some grass. A friend told me that this could mean that the hernia is bothering her. Any kind of answers, suggestions, or tips would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

I have had my puggat for almost two months. Mickey is such a joy to have in my life. He is an incredibly intelligent puppy. He was housebroken within a couple of days. I was able to put out the pad and tell him to use it. Imagine my surprise when he peed moments after my instructions! He prefers to go outside but is used to the wee-wee pads now. Mickey is also incredibly playful. He loves to snuggle with me though he does not snuggle with my husband. He loves to sleep in the bed. It is also his favorite place to hide his treats.
He does shed. I always have my lint brush handy.
Mickey gets left alone in the apartment since my husband and I work full-time. Luckily, he has not had accidents. We make sure he has enough water, snacks and toys to play with. We also leave the music station on the television.
I would recommend a puggat for anyone interested in an intelligent, affection dog who will bring much joy to one's life.
